Megan Severide, born and raised in Summerland, British Columbia has always had a strong connection to the outdoors and a responsibility to care for it. Meg sees media, imagery and art as a powerful way to connect people to nature and scientific research. She believes that storytelling through art is a powerful way to connect people to their environment, inspire empathy and incite action and change to protect the natural environment. She currently works with the International League of Conservation Photographers as the Visuals & Communications Manager. She also takes on projects with people, community groups and organizations.
